6 Weeks….and Counting
Well I thought I’d give this a go. Clint has been ruling the blogosphere thus far with me making comments over his shoulder. Now he has very little time to blog and I have all the time in the world.
Here is a quick update on the last few months. We moved to a bigger apartment two days before Christmas. We thought this timing would be great until I landed on bed-rest for the move across town. It is hard enough moving when you are pregnant, it is even harder when you aren’t allowed to help at all. I did end up on modified bed-rest the week before Christmas due to really low blood pressure. I had to abruptly quite slinging coffee and adjust to doctor’s orders. Needless to say even my modified bed-rest has been modified because I am not the best patient. All of you who know my stubborn side and how I enjoy being busy are probably not surprised by that at all. Clint finally received the promotion we had been waiting for. He had a tough road the first few months here in Texas and is now confidant in his position at Enterprise.
So here we are, six week and counting. I have every illusion that I am ready to be a mother. I know for a fact that Clint is ready to be a father. I will no doubt be humbled by the Lord when I realize the task at hand of raising a child. Until then I have the basics down; feed them, clothe them, house them, change their diapers, and pray for them. That is truly as far as my maternal instincts go. I didn’t change my first diaper or really babysit until about two years ago, and that has not really happened since then. By God’s grace alone, right?
