106/74=Freedom!
Yesterday was a day of victory. At my 35 week check up my doctor informed me that my blood pressure was 106/74 and that the babies heart rate was strong and steady. And then the sweetest phrase a man in his mid sixties could ever tell me came spilling out of his mouth, “You are off of bed-rest.” There were a few clauses after this statement, something about taking it easy and that I could end up back on if my blood pressure drops again. But all I heard was, “…off of bed-rest.”
With my new found freedom in hand I celebrated like every house-bound prisoner would. I went to the grocery store and wandered around Target and Wal-Mart. Clearly my priorities are off. I did end up cooking three full meals last night, two of which I froze for later. I think bed-rest has caused me to miss little things like going to the grocery store, or browsing through stores for nothing particular at all. I am very grateful that I can spend the last 4 1/2 weeks of this pregnancy with the freedom to move around if I would like. Clint and I are very excited to get this apartment ready for the likes of a demanding baby.

Though you can’t see me doing it, I’m tossing up the sign for victory!
