She Was Waiting to Stand in My Energy…

I learned while working at Starbucks that “regular” customers are generally the most entertaining and interesting. I was surprised today to find out that regular customers at Enterprise Rent-A-Car are no different.

On a trek to bring lunch to Clint’s office today I was surprised that there was not only a customer who wanted to meet me, but she had been waiting for 20 minutes to do so. It is not completely random, Clint has mentioned this particular client many times before. She is generally referred to as the either ‘the charismatic lady who prays over the cars,’ or ‘the one armed lady who prays over cars.’ Well today was my lucky day. I walked in and was introduced to the charismatic lady who prays over her rental cars…she was waiting to “stand in my energy.”  She was by far the most energetic person I had met in a while. Every other word out of her mouth was ‘bless,’ ‘blessed,’ or ‘praise God.’ By the time she left Clint had been blessed, Enterprise was declared as blessed, our baby was double blessed because she is a spring baby….”praise God!” It was actually really encouraging and her positive energy was totally contagious.

The sad part of this story is that I still did not catch her name. I feel as though I should call her something other than ‘the charismatic lady….’ or ‘the one armed lady….’  By the way, the fake arm was less distracting than the obvious wig she was rocking.
