Here’s to Mr. Iacocca and his failed experiment…the Delorean
Have you ever watched something, either in real life or on tv, and it makes you hurt. Its so uncomfortable that you phsyically hurt. Dumb chills. I know you get them. Recently, I think tv has tried to capitalize on the dumb chills. Think about it, how do you feel on Deal or No Deal, when the contestant says no deal, and the next case they open is the last big money case. What about 1 vs 100 when the contestant answers a question wrong and you know it. American Idol, the chick or guy doesn’t hit a single note, or even better, the horrible people they let audition in the first place. But the example that I can give is The Office. This finely casted, excellently written, flawlessly acted show is the epitome of dumb chills. If I had to explain the definition of dumb chills, I would say, “watch an episode of The Office.” The Office is 30 minutes of dumb chills. I’m not sure why I bring this up, except that I noticed that quite a few shows on tv this season have, in some form or fashion, a touch of the dumb chill effect in them. Random thought for the day.
