The Scheduled Arrival
Well after waiting a week past my due date and having what seems like my hundredth ultra-sound my doctor and I decided that scheduling a c-section is really the best option we have at this point. The doctor came to this suggestion because I am no where near going into natural labor, I am already at 41 weeks in my pregnancy, and last but certainly not least she is HUGE. The ultra-sound yesterday estimated her at about 9lbs, 7oz. Neither my doctor nor I truly believe she is really that large. I honestly think that the ultra-sound is off and that she is probably in the high 8lb range. Regardless, that is a large baby. There are multiple reasons why induction is not really an option for us and I truly think that scheduling this c-section is the best and safest way to welcome Isabella into this world.
So as it stands the c-section is scheduled for Monday, April 2nd at 5:00pm. It is crazy after 9+ months of waiting without a defined end in sight to have a scheduled arrival for our little girl. We are trusting that this is truly the Lord’s timing and his plan for our family. Please keep the doctor and this surgery in your prayers on Monday.
