The Blogosphere
Before I get into what I really wanted to blog about, here is the much belated update on Bella.
Bella is now 19lbs which in our circle of infantile friends is actually quite small. Still no teeth. Still very content with life. She is an expert crawler but still lacking in motivation to attempt walking….which I am ok with. Here are some semi-recent pictures of Bella.

I am struggling with our blog. As much as I love that people can get updates on Bella from the blog, it gets old. But, I don’t know if this blog is really the outlet for talking about things I really like. For exampl, I assume our average reader doesn’t really care if I found a new recipe I enjoy, what artists are inspiring me or what projects I’ve been working on. I don’t assume this because I think our readers are heartless, but that they probably don’t have similar interests to me other than my very cute daughter. So, I think I will begin a new, separate blog. And I will begin with discussing that I have recently begun painting again and I started with this piece which was a wedding gift for my dear friend Emily.

ok, first off…no need for a seperate blog A. I like the diversity of ‘mom changing diapers’ and ‘artist thinking of world issues’…it’s more like the Christian who does not compartmentalize sacred and secular and B. it’s one more blog for me to have to check
Secondly, i LOVE the piece you created for the wedding gift…and ironically enough, I JUST attended a conferene at Cal Arts called Arts in the One World focusing on art/justice and the role art plays in social issues. That prompted me ot touch base with Tat, who recently did a series on Art and the Christian..blah blah blah…email me and we can communicate off the world wide web
You’re awesome!

I agree with Sam – why not go to town on this blog; I think your constituency is very interested to hear what you have to say. RE art, that Africa painting is really cool. I think we need some Megan art adorning the bare walls of the GBC Office…
