the blog altered
Well, with kind words of encouragement from good friends I have decided not to start another blog. Instead, we’ll expand from our family blog to our family blog and a little more. Part of the alteration is that I will be the main contributor and Clint will contribute when he feels like it. He rarely contributes now, so he is not being kicked out, I will just be writing solo a lot more often.
And to kick things off, I thought I’d share a bit of art with you. For those of you who don’t know, I paint. It is one of the things in life that I wish I could pursue more, but due to stewardship considerations (both with time and money) it is not an avenue of expression I am often blessed with. So when my friend Emily requested a painting for her wedding gift I was beyond excited. She requested a painting of Africa since we had spent time ministering on a team in Uganda during college. So I painted…for six hours straight and this was the product…

Forgive me that I am not a photographer. It is on my to do list to learn how to photograph my paintings in a way that does them justice. The painting is entitled Africa’s Tears. It is hard to convey pain and beauty through a dark and rough exterior.
More to come!
