a little inspiration…
First off, I always forget how debilitating it is not having your computer for a week. It is back, fixed, and I am once again grateful to Mark, my favorite Genius from the Apple store at the Shops at Willowbend.
Secondly, I have been thinking a lot about the creative process lately and the things that stifle it. Currently this blog is being stifled by my mother-in-law rebuking my youngest brother-in-law which has woken Bella up from her nap an hour early. I have several friends who make a point to pursue creativity on a daily basis. How I would love such a luxury. The closest I get to a daily pursuit of creativity is through cooking. My favorite means of creative expression often take a lot of time, and a bit of money. So, since money is tight, and a baby on the move does not lend to having an abundance of extra time has left me wondering….where should painting and sewing and all the other creative endeavors I would like to pursue end up on my priority list? I currently have no answer to this question and as I ponder it I have been in the blogosphere exploring how other’s pursue creativity as inspiration to answer this looming question.
3 little things…

The hat was made by a dontcallmebecky I stumbled upon it today and wished I still knitted as often as I did at the beginning of college. The middle photo is of Allie Edwards who is in the middle of a project where she takes a self portrait everyday of 2008. She is a stay-at-home mom and is famous in the scrapbooking world. Her work is featured in lots of magazines and she teaches nationwide. The picture of the cake seems very odd but after reading Soule Mama’s post on Apples for Jam: A Colorful Cookbook I wanted to drop everything and purchase it on Amazon.
So a desire to knit, daily photographs and a buttermilk and blueberry cake have recently inspired me to figure out where painting fits into my priorities and it causes me to explore other forms of creative expression.
